Demand Analyst

The team:
The Demand Planning & Market Intelligence Team is a critical part of our organization, driving both the accuracy of our demand forecasting and providing actionable insights into market trends. Takes also a key part of our supply chain and operations, focused on optimizing our demand forecasting, inventory management of whole supply chains, and ensuring that our products meet customer demand efficiently and effectively. We work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales (Account Managers), Product Management, Productions, Operations, and Finance to align strategies and deliver optimal results. As a Demand Analyst, you’ll play an integral role in forecasting demand, driving insights, and ensuring data accuracy to guide critical decision-making processes.
Our team is a small, agile group of four professionals who are passionate about data-driven decision making and delivering strategic insights. We pride ourselves on maintaining open communication, both within our team and with cross-functional partners, which allows us to quickly adapt to changes in demand and market trends. As a new member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to directly influence our forecasting processes and market intelligence strategies.
The role:
The Demand Analyst will be responsible for analyzing historical data, market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to deliver accurate demand forecasts and strategic market insights. You will work closely with various teams to support inventory management, assist in supply chain optimization, and help drive the company's strategy around product availability. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The responsibilities:
Market Analysis: Provide qualitative and quantitative Intelligence insights and identify opportunities for enhancing the position of the company in each region.
Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain demand forecasts based on historical sales data, industrial market trends, seasonal patterns, and other influencing factors.
Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to identify demand patterns, trends, and anomalies. Provide actionable insights to improve demand planning processes.
Collaboration: Work with Sales (Account Managers), Product Management, Productions, Operations, Finance, and other departments to gather business inputs and align on forecasting assumptions and objectives.
Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular demand forecasts, reports, and dashboards to leadership and stakeholders, highlighting key findings and potential risks.
Inventory Management Support: Assist in ensuring inventory levels are aligned with forecasted demand, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory, and optimizing working capital.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess and refine demand planning processes, tools, and techniques to improve forecast accuracy and operational efficiency.
Trend Analysis: Monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, and industry trends that could impact demand, and make proactive recommendations to adjust forecasts accordingly.
Scenario Planning: Conduct what-if analyses to evaluate the impact of different scenarios on product demand, supply chain, and inventory.
Cross-functional Coordination: Provide support for sales and promotions forecasting, understanding their impact on demand and adjusting accordingly. Align also with product road map, phasing in and out of new or conventional products and assess impacts to demand forecasts.
Strategic support: Provide data and market insights to support strategic initiatives, new product development, and expansion into new markets or segments.

Internally: Sales (Account Management), Supply Chain Management, Product Management, Operations, F&A department, Data Managers and Scientists
Externally: Global Head Quarter in Japan, Industry statistical committee, Dealers
Who are we looking for:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
Proven experience (3~ years) in demand planning, market research, supply chain analytics, or a related field.
Strong experience working with data analytics tools and software is a plus (e.g., Excel, SAP, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or similar).
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex data and insights in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders.
Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
