Account Manager (French Speaking) – Africa Region
Location: Amsterdam

The role:

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the position of Account Manager – Africa Region at Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe headquarters' in Amsterdam.

The goal of this role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned dealers, based on HCME’s Dealer Centric Approach: create enthusiasm & openness for new initiatives, drive efficient achievement of results & dealer/customer satisfaction by supporting the dealer, reach aspired targets through monitoring progress on mutual agreed Business Plan, involve all stakeholders actively in all aspects of the dealer’s business and markets.

The responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead-point of contact for portfolio of assigned dealers in African region.

  • African Dealer Network development. Managing and improving profitability of the product portfolio.

  • Keeping up with the economic situation, demand, trends, developments, competition

  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to dealers needs and objectives

  • Assisting in creating the ongoing business plan for your assigned dealers based on their growth goals and historical performance

  • Achieving agreed business plan targets with assigned dealers by monitoring progress and pro-actively adjusting plans in conjunction with stakeholders


Who are we looking for:

  • 3+ years’ experience in the similar role (Ideally in Construction machinery, Automotive or relevant business environment)

  • Knowledge of the African market is a great advantage

  • Fluent English and French

  • Commercial mindset with customer interest first mentality, backed up with organizational awareness and analytical skills

  • Ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
